Mr Edwin Harris 1891 – 1961 lived in Littlehampton before moving to Washington. He was known throughout Sussex as a landscape painter who loved the Downs and the surrounding countryside.  He painted many water colours and exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of Water Colour Painters.  His work has also been reproduced by the Medici Society.  He was also a keen cricketer, formerly playing for the County of Sussex.
